College Counseling at SIS

SIS offers university application to students. Beginning in grade 11, students engage in coursework with the counselor aimed at identifying their particular interests and finding the best possible match beyond high school. In grade 12, students work with the counselor in class and beyond to put together a strong university application. The results speak for themselves!

SIS STudents go to

some of the world’s top universities. Our curriculum prepares students to think critically, ask questions, grow intellectually, and excel in a university setting. In an SIS student’s second semester of their junior year, they have a dedicated class focused on learning about their options after SIS, reflecting on who they have become, and what they value. In the student’s first semester senior year, the counselor and student focus more on the application process, college essays, interviews, and what to expect from life after high school through virtual or in person visits with alumni and college admissions counselors.

Our students have attended Stanford University, University of Pennsylvania, Emory University, Air Force Academy, Williams College, University of St. Andrews, Seoul National University and other schools throughout the world. We have had National Merit Scholar finalists and Quest Bridge scholars. We are proud of our students and the paths they choose after SIS.
